Want to help us paint a better future? Here’s how to get one of your belongings personalized by the artists at Be Heartistic.

1. Find an item you want painted

The artists currently have experience painting water bottles, computer keys, and shoes! If you have anything else you want painted, feel free to ask us first and we will see what we can do. (Depending on the material, certain items require different painting processes than others.) When possible, we make sure to use multiple layers of sealant so that your design lasts! We can also simply paint on canvases by request.

2. Gather references and inspiration

For the best results, find pictures or sketch out rough ideas of exactly what you want painted. Specificity is key! Explore Google Images or Pinterest, look for inspiration from other designs, or do your best to put your imagination onto paper. It’s even better if you can find one design that we can directly reference. However, if you’re having trouble putting together what exactly it is you want, the artists are also able to draw ideas from inspiration pictures and put their own spin on their work based on our own knowledge of design.

3. Get in contact with us

Email us at contact@beheartistic.org. Make sure to include your name, item you want personalized, and any reference pictures, sketches, or design inspiration you have accumulated. We will respond with our current availability and do our best to schedule a time for drop off and pick up and do our best to communicate with you for updates.

4. Donate!

After we have replied confirming the commission, go to our Donate! page and leave a donation. All proceeds of the Be Heartistic Fundraiser go to support mental health and psychiatric services at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The typical cost of personalization is $20, but all extra donations are greatly appreciated!

5. Drop off and pick up

Due to COVID-19, drop off and pick up will take place in front of Tumbleweed Recreation Center, at the southwest corner of Germann and McQueen. Make sure to wear a mask and clean your item before dropping it off. For our safety and yours, little to no contact will be made during the transfer.

6. Enjoy your personalized item!
